Window
A washed-out see-through area in the centre of a poorly proportioned stone.
A window appears when a stone is cut too shallow, letting light pass straight through the centre instead of reflecting back. A windowed stone looks pale and glassy in the middle. Checking for a window is one of the fastest practical cut-quality tests.
