Cut
The proportions, symmetry and finish of a fashioned gemstone.
Cut covers the shape, faceting style, proportions and polish of a finished stone. In coloured stones, cut is judged mainly by how well it returns colour and light to the eye, not by adherence to fixed proportion charts as in diamond grading.
