Clarity
The degree to which a gemstone is free of visible inclusions.
Clarity describes how free a stone is of inclusions and blemishes. Standards differ by species: coloured stones are judged more tolerantly than diamonds, and expectations vary between gem types. In sapphire, eye-clean stones command a premium.
