Cabochon
A gemstone cut with a smooth domed top rather than facets.
A cabochon is a polished, unfaceted cut with a domed upper surface, used for opaque and phenomenal stones such as star sapphires, cat’s eyes and moonstone, where the effect depends on the curvature of the surface.
