White gold
A gold alloy whitened with metals such as palladium or nickel.
White gold is gold alloyed with white metals (commonly palladium or nickel) to lighten its colour, usually finished with rhodium plating for a bright white surface. The karat value states the gold content exactly as in yellow gold; the rhodium layer wears and can be re-plated.
