SriLankaJewellery.com uses AI-generated images as editorial illustrations. This page states exactly how they are used, and the limits we hold ourselves to.

What our images are

The photographic-style images on this platform are AI-generated illustrations created for this website. They are used to illustrate topics, gem cutting, gold jewellery, market scenes, travel contexts, in the platform's visual style. Every image in our image system carries an internal credit recording that it is an AI-generated illustration.

What our images are never used for

AI imagery on this platform is never presented as documentation of reality. Specifically, our images are never used to depict:

• real, identifiable shops, showrooms or businesses;
• real, identifiable people, including gemmologists, dealers or officials;
• real certificates, laboratory reports, licences or official documents;
• real government buildings, laboratory premises or institutional interiors presented as such;
• a specific real gemstone offered for sale, or claimed treatment results on a real stone.

An illustration of "a gem-cutting workshop" is a generic scene, not a photograph of any actual workshop. Where that distinction matters in context, the surrounding text or caption makes it clear. For the same reason, our image records never assign an exact photographed location to an AI-generated image: such images carry at most a stylistic note ("Sri Lanka inspired setting"), and fields like "location verified" or "documentary image" are reserved for real photographs and are technically blocked for AI imagery.

Accuracy review

Illustrations are reviewed editorially before publication for factual plausibility in context, for example, that tools, settings and stones shown are consistent with the subject of the article. An illustration that would mislead (a wrong instrument presented as standard practice, an impossible gem) is corrected or not used.

Diagrams and icons

Interface icons and any technical diagrams follow the same rule: they are illustrative and stylised, not reproductions of official marks, logos, hallmarks or certificates. We do not imitate the visual identity of any authority, laboratory or brand.
